This beautiful, yet simple two-bedroomed home was initially developed for the Our Island Home competition, run by Rural Housing Scotland. The aim was to create an affordable starter home which would look at home in rural environments.

The main feature is a vaulted living area in the centre of the building with a wall of glazing. The kitchen is to the back wall with built-in storage units, freeing up space for the open-plan dining and living area.  Bedrooms are set at either end with generous cupboard space.

As with all our designs, this kit house is ideally suited to the landscape of Scotland. Its simple, shed-like form means it fits naturally into the landscape, and views can be carefully framed by its large front windows.

A version of this house can be viewed in our gallery here.

Use our interactive Kuula model to walk or fly through the house design.  Experience the beautiful spaces of Hebhome houses before visiting or building one.  Imagine the interior finishings you want for each room and consider the changes that you may require.  If you proceed with Hebhomes and want to make design changes we recommend these are done within our Kuula models so as to better understand the potential impact on the design.  This should prevent poor choices being made which have unforseen design or engineering consequences.

If you are viewing on a phone switch to VR mode and use with a virtual reality headset such as Google Cardboard.
