Turnkey Project Nearing Completion on Skye

We are thrilled to share progress on a unique HebHomes project located in the rugged and breathtaking north of Skye. Nestled in an exceptionally remote area, the site is accessed via a single-track road with challenging surface conditions. Despite these logistical hurdles, the build has proceeded smoothly and remains on schedule—a testament to the careful planning and expertise of our team.

The site offers a spectacular setting, with sweeping views across a sea loch framed by dramatic sea cliffs. On clear days, the distant silhouettes of Lewis and Harris add to the sense of connection with the surrounding landscape, creating a truly inspiring backdrop.

Our client’s vision was to create a modest yet enduring retreat—a lifelong dream of building a home on the Isle of Skye. This dream is being realized in the form of a single-bedroom Airigh, a compact and thoughtfully designed structure ideal for quiet escapes. The form hunkers into the landscape, providing some respite from the island's often harsh weather. 

As with all HebHomes kits, this Airigh embodies our commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient design. Precision-engineered to be exceptionally well-insulated and airtight, the home’s energy demands will be low. This ensures comfort and efficiency year-round, even in the unpredictable climate of Skye.
