Steading Kit Completed on Skye

We are delighted to share the progress of one of our steadings, currently under construction on a breathtaking site on the Isle of Skye. The client has tailored the design to fully embrace the unique setting, optimizing key views from the property. The living space is oriented to capture sweeping vistas of the islands of Rum and Eigg, while the bedrooms frame picturesque views of the iconic Cuillin hills. The TH302 design elegantly divides the floor plan into two distinct wings. At the front, a striking double-height living, kitchen, and dining space, seamlessly connected via a flat-roofed link to a 1.5-storey bedroom wing at the rear.

Once completed, the site will feature understated landscaping that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. An area for parking is positioned discreetly to the side of the dwelling, while an outdoor seating area in front of the living room provides the perfect vantage point to appreciate the scenery. Reflecting the client’s vision, the natural vegetation—including long grasses and heathers—will be encouraged to grow up to the house, blending the structure into its stunning environment.

Our turnkey contractor is currently cladding and roofing the structure, with the internal fit-out set to commence in the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing this home take shape and, ultimately, to witnessing our clients settle into their bespoke sanctuary amidst the beauty of Skye.
