The Avanced Payment Mortgage - often know as the Accelerator - has returned to Scotland. Available through Buildstore this funding method is ideally suited to self-build projects. The key difference is that money is released at the beginning, rather than the end of each build stage enabling funding of the early stages of building, including the land purchase, kit purchase and erection.
After the crash in 2007 this form of funding disappeared in Scotland with only limited availability in the rest of the UK. It is ideal for true self-builders who will not be using a main contractor but managing trades themselves.
